Helping Unresolved Hormone and Thyroid Symptoms
Have you noticed in day-to-day life, you just don't feel the way you used to physically, mentally or emotionally? Do you struggle with fatigue throughout the day, or are you just too tired to do much of anything? Are you spending less time having fun with family and friends? Have activities and hobbies you used to love fallen by the wayside?
Does it seem like it's harder to concentrate, or your memory isn't so sharp anymore? Maybe you feel unwell when you wake up even after a full night's sleep, or you're having difficulties with insomnia.
Do you tell yourself hot flashes, extra weight and brain fog are just things you must learn to live with at your age?
Women and men often mistakenly believe it's normal to start to feel pretty lousy as they age. They accept things like foggy thinking, fatigue, and difficulties with losing weight as normal. But there's nothing normal about it. These are all signs of hormonal imbalances, and they can be corrected.
While you can't turn back the clock to your twenties, you can feel much better and enjoy a vast improvement in your quality of life once your hormones are balanced correctly. It's possible to regain energy, lose excess weight, counter the negative effects of stress on your health and to look and feel your best.
A comprehensive approach to hormone balancing can help you regain control of your health. It begins with proper assessment of your condition, and a clear vision of the goals you'd like to attain. Through interventions such as proper nutrition, exercise, and other types of therapeutic support you may need, balance can be achieved. You can you get back to fully enjoying life once again.
I'm passionate about helping people look and feel their best, and I have the training and skills, the tools and the team to do it.
There Is Hope!
Maybe you've sought help for one or more symptoms of hormonal imbalance, but you didn't really get anywhere. I'm a family nurse practitioner with a solid understanding of how problems with fatigue, sleep disturbances, weight gain and foggy thinking are typically approached. Sometimes medications are prescribed and they may help to some degree, for some time—or they might not have helped you at all.
But without a comprehensive approach to hormonal balance, real improvements in how you look and feel are unlikely. Hormonal imbalances are typically complex matters, not simple ones, and in my years of experience helping patients, I've learned nutrition and lifestyle interventions have to come first.
Other healthcare providers may make recommendations about diet or exercise, but they typically take the form of a 'one size fits all' approach. In general, the focus isn't on the tremendous difference food and fitness can make—especially when interventions are custom-tailored to the patient's needs.
If you'd like to get to the bottom of why you feel the way you do and make lasting improvements in your health and quality of life, I can help.
My comprehensive approach begins with in-depth assessment. Once we know we're you're at metabolically, we can take a step back and look at why you're there and how you can begin to regain control.
